The Bangal delta was home to some of the earliest janapadas or human settlements that grew up in the period between 1,200 BC to 700 AD giving birth to the Ganges Valley Delta civilization. The delta people carried with them a subconscious wealth of mythology, legends and nostalgia. The power of symbols was ever present in their lives....
